School Community Councils (SCCs) are an important part of Saskatchewan's education system. The provincially mandated councils were established in legislation and regulations in 2006 following recommendations from The Local Accountability and Partnerships Panel (LAPP).

As part of the continuous improvement of this program, the Ministry of Education is conducting a survey of School Community Council members, board of education members and division staff with responsibilities related to SCCs. The ministry has contracted with Arcas Research & Consulting to conduct and provide data analysis for this survey.
